“I learned so many new things. I saw
a black millipede and spider’s eggs. I also like the way you
set up the activities in the woods. I found a wild turkey feather
and a deer’s rib. The activities I had the most fun at were
the waterfall and catching frogs and tadpoles.”
Ada, Friends Academy, 2007

There is a large body of solid evidence pointing
to the fact that an outdoor education experience increases students
desire to learn, their ability to communicate effectively, and their
commitment to engage in responsible decision making. To find out
whether we have a program that is right for you, or if you just
have questions that you can’t find the answer to, contact
the Outdoor
Center Director.
“It was great for our students and the
quality of the staff and Mason and the facilities made for an enjoyable
and relaxed experience for the school faculty” Mark Stetina,
