Instruction is provided by trained
instructors and then time allowed for practice at a leisurely pace.
Activities include archery, riflery, boating
and canoeing, arts and crafts, apple cidering and hiking. In the
winter there’s sledding, cross country ski-ing and apple baking.
ASE (Action Socialization Experience)
a series of elements designed to challenge your group to work together.
Group dynamics, group management, and conflict resolution will be
faced by your group throughout the course.
High Ropes
a physically, mentally and emotionally challenging experience. Includes
a high ropes course, pamper pole, vertical playpen and giant swing.
Climbing Wall
a 35 foot high structure composed of 3 walls in tri-fold, with molded
stone holds, totaling 6 climbs of varying difficulty.
Rock Climbing
at Ricks Rocks 5 minutes away from Camp Mason, an excellent face
that offers many different levels of climbs.
The Outdoor Center at Camp Mason offers a wide range of age appropriate
classes which aim to bring each student a better understanding of
the world around them.
Science based classes include ecology classes,
earth science classes as well as those teaching about adaptations
and our impact on the environment
Cultural history and heritage classes include local history classes
from a range of time periods.
Outdoor Living Skills classes include traditional
and modern orienteering classes, outdoor ethics classes as well
as a service project option.
