Isn't it time that you had a real adventure of
your own and stopped watching them on television? Are you ready
for new and exciting challenges? If you're looking for more than
a "regular" camp experience we invite you to come along
on an Adventure Bound Trek to explore some of the last great, true
wilderness areas left in the Northeast.
Spend time with other teens testing your skills,
pushing your limits, and exploring different exhilarating locations.
Canoe the Delaware River, hike the Appalachian Trail, climb the
Gunks, and camp out under the stars. Other activities include white
water rafting, mountain biking, kayaking, bouldering, and fishing
in some of the most beautiful natural areas in New York, New Jersey,
and Pennsylvania.
All treks develop leadership and wilderness skills
while putting into practice the core values of the YMCA: caring,
honesty, respect, and responsibility. We offer great one and two
week trips for anyone ages 11-16 willing to go beyond, rough it,
and reap the rewards!

We realize that for any trek to be safe and
enjoyable, leadership is critical. Our trek leaders are carefully
chosen for their ability to lead and get along with teenagers.
They are mature, well trained, and experienced
outdoors people with certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, first-aid,
climbing and more. In some instances local professional guides will
also join and assist us. All Adventure Bound Treks are operated
by the experienced people of YMCA Camp Ralph S. Mason. All of the
staff at Camp Mason undergo a rigorous
screening process and are chosen for their integrity, their energy,
and their community spirit.
