A $50.00 YMCA Camping Membership is required of all youngsters in addition to the regular camp fee if not already a regular YMCA  member.of one of our affiliate YMCA’s.  Rules for acceptance into this program and participation are the same for everyone without regard to race, religion, sex, or national origin. Physically challenged youngsters may find that long hikes are not suitable. Deposits must accompany this form to be valid.  Deposits are fully refundable for any reason at all, upon written request and notification of cancellation right up until June 6, 2008. After June 6, absolutely no deposits are refunded for any reason.  Balance of fees must be paid in full by June 6,  or the YMCA  reserves the right to consider the registration in default and give the space to the next child on the waiting list. After June 6, fees may be refunded less the deposit only upon timely notification of required summer school attendance, serious injury or illness, or hospitalization.  No refund is given if a youngster is dismissed from a trek for serious disciplinary reasons or insubordination that results in behavior potentially dangerous to him/herself or others.  Further, should it be necessary for a camper to be evacuated or returned home early from a trek for any reason what-so-ever, it will be at the sole expense of the parent or guardian.   The YMCA reserves the right to cancel a trek and issue a full refund if the trek fails to go out due to insufficient registrations to fulfill the needs of the group dynamics, up to two weeks prior to departure. It also reserves the right to alter, modify and change any itinerary should environmental, political or other emergency situations arise at the last minute that in the opinion of our guides and trek leaders would endanger the welfare of the participants.  The YMCA  also advises and you are acknowledging that adventure activities involve a known physical risk.  All challenging activities do.  Your signature indicates you and your child fully understand this and are accepting the inherent risks involved in adventure trekking, and that your child is healthy and physically able to participate and can and will understand and follow all instructions and directions given by the leaders. Further, you both understand and accept all rules and policies related to these treks, and to all Camp Mason programs and will read and accept all additional information enclosed in the registration packet you will receive shortly.
